Weather to remain mainly dry with partly cloudy skies across Naogaon and most of Bangladesh today, favorable for ongoing Aman paddy cultivation and harvest preparations.
According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department's weather bulletin for Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the weather across most of Bangladesh including Naogaon district is expected to remain mainly dry with temporarily partly cloudy skies. Only the Chattogram Division may experience temporary light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds at some places.
During the past 24 hours, the country's highest temperature was recorded at 37.6°C in Sylhet, while the lowest temperature was 24.0°C in Narayanganj, Rangamati, and Bandarban. The predominantly dry conditions are expected to continue as a deep depression over the North Andaman Sea moves northward.
The stable weather conditions come as a relief to farmers in Atrai and surrounding areas who are in the middle of the Aman paddy season. Dry weather during this period helps farmers with field management activities and allows paddy plants to mature properly before the November harvest season. Agricultural experts note that continued favorable weather will be crucial for a good Aman yield this year.
The monsoon is currently less active over Bangladesh and weak to moderate over the North Bay of Bengal. Farmers are advised to take advantage of the dry spell to complete necessary agricultural work, including fertilizer application and pest management for their Aman crops.
