The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has recovered 16 crude bombs and four petrol bombs from the Talpukuria area under Shah Makhdum Police Station in Rajshahi city, the divisional headquarters of Rajshahi Division.
According to a press release from RAB-5, the elite force received information around 1:25am on September 23 that bomb-like objects had been abandoned in a cultivated spinach field in the area. Acting on the tip-off, RAB personnel conducted a search operation and successfully recovered the explosive devices.
The recovery comes at a time when law enforcement agencies across the division have increased vigilance to maintain public safety and security. Rajshahi city, as the administrative centre for the division that includes Naogaon District and Atrai Upazila, plays a crucial role in regional security coordination.
RAB officials are investigating the source and intended use of the recovered explosives. No arrests have been reported in connection with the incident so far. The recovered bombs have been safely disposed of following standard protocols.
