Bus services from Rajshahi to Dhaka and other districts resumed on September 5 after transport workers halted operations for nearly two and a half hours over a dispute in Natore.

Bus services from Rajshahi to Dhaka and other parts of Bangladesh resumed around noon on September 5 following intervention by Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu, who assured transport workers that disputes over detained buses would be resolved. The disruption had caused significant inconvenience to passengers, including residents of Atrai and other upazilas traveling through Rajshahi.

Transport workers halted all bus operations in Rajshahi for nearly two and a half hours after seven Dhaka-bound buses were stopped at a Natore counter around 8:00 AM. The buses, operated by Desh Travels and National Travels, had all departed from Rajshahi. Workers also shut down the counter in protest of the detention.

The Natore local administration intervened and released the detained buses approximately three hours after they were stopped. However, transport workers in Rajshahi continued their protest, demanding a permanent solution to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Following the Land Minister's assurance, normal bus services resumed, restoring connectivity for passengers traveling from Rajshahi Division to Dhaka and other destinations. The incident highlights ongoing tensions between transport operators and local authorities regarding inter-district bus operations.
