Small and marginal farmers across Naogaon district received free agricultural inputs including Aman rice seeds, vegetable seeds, and fertilisers under the government incentive programme.
A total of 3,700 small and marginal farmers in Naogaon district received free agricultural inputs on July 6 under the government's agricultural incentive and rehabilitation programme. The distribution took place at the Sadar Upazila Parishad auditorium.
The programme included high-yielding transplanted Aman rice seeds, summer onion seeds, vegetable seeds, tree plantation seeds and saplings, and DAP and MOP fertilisers. Naogaon-5 lawmaker Zahidul Islam Dholu inaugurated the distribution as chief guest.
Speaking at the event, the Member of Parliament emphasised that the agricultural incentive programme aims to reduce production costs for small and marginal farmers while increasing agricultural output. He encouraged farmers to make effective use of the government support to achieve higher production.
This initiative is part of the government's broader effort to support agricultural productivity and assist small-scale farming communities across the district. The programme targets farmers who need the most support to maintain and improve their agricultural operations during the current planting season.
